Im Jahr 1912 gründete Prokop Weikert in Abertham, die gleichnamige Handschuhfabrik.
Bereits in der Zeit von 1912 bis 1939 wurden hochwertige Handschuhe nach England, Schweiz, USA und Kanada exportiert.
Nach Kriegsende, im Jahre 1946, musste Prokop Weikert mit seiner Familie die Heimat verlassen und setzte die Produktion, mit seinen
Söhnen , am derzeitigen Firmensitz, in Weiterstadt/Hessen fort.
WEIKERT-HANDSCHUHE
wurden in der neu gegründeten Bundesrepublik Deutschland schnell ein Begriff für hochmodische und hochwertige Accessoires,
auch über die europäischen Grenzen hinaus.
Nach seinem Tod, im Jahr 1954, übernahmen seine Söhne Johann, Josef & Helmut Weikert die Produktion.
Die Produktion wurde erweitert und auch Importartikel wurden zur Abrundung des Sortiments in die Kollektion aufgenommen.
Der Kundenkreis kontinuierlich vergrößert und die Exporte erstreckten sich nun auf die Schweiz, Österreich, Spanien, Niederlande,
Japan, Estland, Lettland & die USA.
Seit 1995 wird die traditionelle Fertigung und der Vertrieb von Lothar Weikert, dem Sohn von Helmut Weiket, weitergeführt.

In 1912, Prokop Weikert established in Abertham the gloves factory of the same name.
Already from 1912 to 1939, high quality leather gloves had been exported to England, Switzerland, USA and Canada.
After the end of the second World War, in 1946, Prokop Weikert and his family had to leave their "home" and continued the production of fine articial leather gloves, together with his sons, in Weiterstadt/Hessen, at present the actual headquarter of the company.

After his death in 1954, his sons Johann, Josef & Helmut Weikert continued the company's management.
The production was continously expanded and various import-articles to complete the collection of styles and qualities.
The circle of customers was extended and exports meanwhile include the countries
of Switzerland, Austria, Spain, Netherlands, Estonia, Latvia, Japan and the USA.
Since 1995, the traditional company runs under the management of Lothar Weikert, the son of Helmut Weikert.
